Poems

Fly American Eagle Fly

The soaring American Eagle
Is majestic, resolute and regal
Yellow nimble talons invincible
Like the American spirit indomitable

In 1782 the Bald bold Eagle became America’s national symbol
To represent the adventurous spirit of America’s brave people
We admire the avian regal
Representing lofty American aspirations noble

Hail to the tenacious Haliaetus leucocephalus
A symbol of the American fearless spirit courageous
Soaring spread-eagle flying to heights audacious
Reaching unprecedented preeminence

Fly American Eagle fly
Up above the high blue sky
Soar to the bright red sun nigh
To reach the mighty celestial high
